About Dt. Komal

Dietitian Komal (Delhi based nutrition expert) believes that healthy eating is not about harsh nutrition philosophy, staying practically thin, or stingy yourself of the foods you love. It’s about reaction great, have new power, and maintain yourself as healthy as possible. Healthy body gives you a healthy mind all of this can be achieved by knowledge some diet ABC and incorporating them in way that works for you.
Presently as our brand name “Delicious Diet With Komal” suggests, I do my best to promote healthy living, fitness and wellness by providing you a personalized balanced diet that is going to match your lifestyle as well.

Achievements and Projects
I have completed M.Sc in Dietetics and Food Service Management (DFSM) from IGNOU (Lucknow) in 2011.

Topic of dissertation in M.Sc: “A comparative study of nutritional status & working capability on morbidity and quality of life among agricultural and non-agricultural workers”.

 Post graduate certificate in diabetes education recognized by the International Diabetes Federation in April 2012.

45 days “Internship from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences”(SGPGI), Lucknow.  U.P. as a dietician.

3 months internship as a Dietician from St. Stephen’s Hospital Delhi.

Certificate in Nutrition and Child Care from IGNOU in 2009.

Here is just a short list of the seminars that she has participated in the city:

- Presented the poster in Conference. The topic of the poster was “A KAP study on nutritional requirement of diabetic pregnant and lactating mothers.”

-Awarded as The best Employee of the year 2014” in Rockland Hospital.

-Certificate of participation in the Conference Cum CME at Scientific Convention Centre, KGMU, Lucknow, held by Indian Railway Dietitian association on 27th& 28th Sep 2012.

Dietitian Komal’s Experience
-Worked with ROCKLAND HOSPITAL Qutab Institutional Area New Delhi from May -13 to Jan -15 as a Dietician.

·        I worked with Talwalkars better value fitness Ltd. Lucknow as a dietician from August 2011 to March 2012.

      I worked with National Hospital Lucknow as a Dietician.

·        I worked with Nestle Baby and me activity in hospital as a dietician.

Role and Responsbilities

Taking care of all the wards and MICU.
Counseling of OPD patients as per the diagnosis.
Counseling of International patients and taking care of International patient desk.
Plan and provide a detailed chart of diet on the basis of patients’ case history.
Preparation of Diet cards instructions of each patient according to the diagnosis and clinical condition of the patient.
Tasting of patient food.
Evaluate dietary intake of patients and do required analysis for doctors’ reference.
Plan and counsel pregnant ladies and lactating women.
Plan weight loss and weight gain diets.
To educate Client on appropriate diets, menu planning and preparation of food to treat obesity.

 Key Skills

Maintain good nutritional status of patients, correct deficiencies if any, planning meals with the use of nutritional knowledge, ensure quality of food is prescribed.
